How Stupid Do They Think We Are?

Reporter: Why is the Finance Minister still suggesting to the people to spend more since this policy is the main reason that cause this recession today?

D.F.Minister: Because our system is different. Our bank have extra capital, our people save money in the bank, the mortgage figure is different in our bank… our system are different from the US. Our money is, most of the time, kept in the bank and did not generate cash flow. Worst now in the recession, people are more careful on their spending. This will only cause the market to deteriorate.

This is what happens in a press conference today. I find it rather funny. Isn’t this the same meaning as asking people to kill their habits that had saved them?

People have been saving all the while and it is the same attitude that saved our country's economy as one of the less effected one. Now we were asked to throw that savior in to the dustbin and betray him. I wonder if there any decent man who will listen to him?

This is a stupid policy and a failure; meanwhile the ministry is using this to show the people that they are actually helping but it just did not work. Not to mention that they will spend billions in the stock market to pump up the prices, which is also proven a failure in the US months ago, if 95 percent of the billions did not go somewhere else sensitive.

youre completely correct....you know...what the D.F. Minister says is something to be done as well to maintain the economic balance..but its quite pathetic to say that your country is not affected yet..everything is controlled by the capitalist, they rule the business industry..and the largest scale of them came from U.S. and Europe..so basically if something goes wrong from that gigantic businesses everybody is some kind affected..Right now there is no country that can stand on its own " no man is an island" they say..My point is all the resources was scattered by God to different civilization..We might seek help form other countries that we are affiliated with..I was and currently employed from a Global Corporation based here in the Philippines and that's it works
